Urban Interface Loft is an idea about dwelling bewlow a ground plane ... the recreated urban ground plane. This new horizon/ground line is formed by the consistent five-story roof line of the buildings surrounding Duane Park. The roof plane is sliced open to the sky, revealing the landscape of both the sky and its relation to the city. At the same time, the new urban ground plane drops into the center of the loft. Creating both visual and physical passage, the contrast between below and above is hightened through this connection.
